PRESENTATION CONTENT

Presentations will be given by the author of Roadtrip: Project 1:1000, Volume I and creator of Project 1:1000, David Overturf.  See an informational video on Presentations here (new window).Laurel, MT Rotary Club

Below is an example of a typical Presentation.  Variations in time are included for audience participation, depth of discussion, etc.  Content and timing are flexible depending on venue, audience, etc.

  • 30 min slideshow of photos/videos from the roadtrip (as doors open, prior to beginning of Presentation)
  • 10-20 min discussion of roadtrip background, facts, etc.
  • 20 min of readings from Roadtrip: Project 1:1000, Volume I  (see book "trailer" here)
  • 15-30 min of introduction to Project 1:1000 (see FAQ here)
  • 15-30 min of Q&A

TOTAL TIME: 60-100 min (+ 30 min. for pre-show slideshow, if audience arrives early)

Feel free to peruse the Project 1:1000 website for areas of interest for a more audience-specific Presentation.  A good smattering of pages/links can be found here.

VENUE "NEEDS"

As this is largely about Project 1:1000 (1 picture: 1000 words), the display and viewing of pictures is really important.  Readings from the book (and perhaps other site users, if possible), website tour, and community offerings will require digital capabilities, including the following:

  • Digital projector and screen  or large screen display

We do plan on purchasing a portable digital projector and screen, but thought we'd put this out there.  Venues should understand the space required for presentations, if nothing else.

VENUE "WANTS"

Hardly as vital, it would be good to know if venues have the following audio equipment items:

  • Public Address (PA) System
  • Mixer
  • Speakers
