Another great delivery system for Submissions would be audio versions. I envision recording the Submission and showing the Submission image. My impulse is to display the image after the reading is complete. Not sure what to do in the meantime. They could end up being simple videos, beginning with Submission title and author on the screen, which would fade to black as the audio plays. The listener would be free to do other things, not just sit at a computer with a blank, black screen. When the words are done, a chime could play alerting ther listener that the Submission image is forthcoming. Allow 5-10 seconds, then fade into the Submission image.
Only thing extra necessary would be the Contributor uploading their audio file (recording of the reading). I'm a bit concerned about the quality of these recordings, but the imperfection would also be part of the charm and very much in line with the spirit of this whole thing.
